Why We Offer Both Botox® and Dysport® at London Plastic Surgery and Advanced Aesthetics
As a nurse injector at London Plastic Surgery and Advanced Aesthetics, I’m often asked why we offer both Botox® and Dysport® for our neuromodulator treatments. The answer is simple: every client is unique, and so is their skin. By providing two top-tier options, we ensure that each person receives a tailored treatment for the best possible results.
Botox® and Dysport®: What’s the Difference?
Both Botox® and Dysport® are FDA-approved neuromodulators designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing targeted muscles in the face. While they work similarly, there are subtle differences that make each product better suited for certain clients or treatment areas.
Molecular Structure: Dysport® has a slightly smaller molecular structure compared to Botox®. This means it can spread more easily over larger treatment areas like the forehead, making it ideal for clients looking to soften broader areas. On the other hand, Botox® is more precise, which can be beneficial for smaller, more concentrated areas such as crow’s feet or frown lines.
Onset of Results: Dysport® tends to work faster, with many clients seeing results within 2-3 days. Botox® typically takes a little longer, with results appearing within 5-7 days. This difference can be important based on how quickly you need to see results.
Duration of Effects: While both treatments last around 3-4 months, some clients may notice slight variations. In some cases, Dysport® may last a bit longer in certain individuals, but this depends on how your body metabolizes the product.
Why We Offer Both
At London Plastic Surgery and Advanced Aesthetics, we believe in offering the best, most personalized care. That’s why we provide both Botox® and Dysport®—to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of our clients. Some clients may respond better to one product over the other, and offering both allows us to find the perfect fit for you.
By giving our clients the choice between Botox® and Dysport®, we’re able to customize treatments based on factors like muscle strength, treatment area, and desired speed of results. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your aesthetic goals and help you decide which product will give you the results you’re looking for.
