What is an Arm Lift?

Technically known as a brachioplasty, an arm lift is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the appearance of your upper arms, from elbow to armpit, by removing excess skin and fat through an incision made on the inside of the arm. Arm lift surgery typically takes between 3–4 hours and is most often performed under general anaesthesia, meaning the patient is asleep. Patients can return home on the same day as surgery and are able to return to light activities within two weeks, while more strenuous activity should wait until six weeks.
