What is a Breast Lift?
Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. The procedure corrects sagginess and improves nipple position that can change over time due to aging, pregnancy or weight fluctuation. If you feel your breasts are hanging low, saggy or have lost shape, you may be a great candidate for a breast lift.
Breast lifts do not make the breast larger, just perkier, so the surgery is commonly performed with breast augmentation. This procedure effectively treats sagging or uneven breasts, nipple position, a stretched areola and excess skin around the breast.
