Post-Surgical Ultrasound

While an ultrasound device is most well-known for its use during pregnancy, it is also used as therapy in treating pain and post-surgical scar tissue. At London Plastic Surgery & Advanced Aesthetics, we utilize ultrasound therapy for the latter. 

Ultrasound therapy uses sound energy and pressure waves to enhance healing at the cellular level and stimulate new blood vessel growth at the surgical site, decreasing the appearance of the scar. It can effectively treat surgical wounds, prevent or improve scars and improve blood flow.
